Support to associations and environmental projects
Natural Surf School is also involved with local and national environmental associations such as SEPANSO (Society for the Study, Protection and Management of Nature in the South-West), DMA (Defense of Aquatic Environments) and BLOOM (French NGO dedicated to the protection of the ocean and marine species questioning the economic paradigm of fishing).
Committed to the Pays Atlantique Landes Océanes' Sustainable Tourism Charter, each investment and improvement action is based on the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recreate and Recycle.
Finally, and on the long term, the company is involved in transition projects seeking to propose an alternative and resilient mode of work and consumption alongside the Compagnie des Grands Arbres (CGA) for the manufacture of wooden boards and permatourism projects. Throughout the Groupement Forestier des Grands Pins they planted a diversified forest in Landes to commit to the future of our children.
Our daily actions at Natural Surf School
- 1 surf session = 1 beach trash.
Each surfer, student and instructor brings a beach waste back to the hut to be recycled. - Partnership with the NGO Project Rescue Ocean.
- The 9-seater electric van transport the student to the surf spot.
- Limited water wast to a strict minimum to wash the wetsuits.
- Surfing equipment and wetsuit purchased as much as possible from local craftsmen or companies. Their life spam is extended by adapted repairs (Tearing Waves) and then collected by recycling organizations (e.g Téorum).
- Solar panels to supply the hut with minimum electricity.
- Practice of selective wast and recycling.
- Replacement of paper brochures and flyers in favor of flash code and the weather long life proof info panel.
Eco-responsibility is a global and evolving approach.
We try every year to reach an ideal...
