Animated surf lessons

Both adults and children, whether beginner or experienced, the Natural Surf School team is eager to help you improve your skills and share their love of the ocean and surfing. One on one lessons or group classes (homogenous level groups from 6 to 8 maximum), their careful and soulful teaching will let you embrace full pleasure in the water. With top quality gear, adapted to your surfing level, and always smiling !

During lessons, coaches teach surfing but also the skills necessary to read the ocean, the sand banks, the tides. In order to comprehend your playground and reach autonomy within respect to the natural environment. This is a total blessed blast. Adapted one week surf classes

Depending on your surfing skills and the length of your stay, we offer several formulas from beginners to experts, from 3 to 5 days or a whole week. The school will manage the lessons around your level and your desires. Constantly adapting to the surfing conditions. Learning surfing from scratch is not easy, but with a smooth and constant progression, the reward is worth it. Our capacity to listen and our philosophy will make your vacation unforgettable.

“A la carte” surfing formulas

One week surfing class is also available for groups (seminars, family…) depending on seasons. Claire and Stéphane always have custom solutions to meet your  your needs and desires. Proof of their commitment for surf teaching and quality services ? The national seal Qualité Tourisme delivered by the Tourism Board of Les Landes and the EFS 2015 Label awarded by the French Surfing Federation.

Teaching aids

During your lessons, you will receive theoretical notions on the knowledge of the environment, the equipment, the safety rules and priorities which will complete the practice acquired in the water, essential to the progression. These theoretical contributions will be more or less deepened according to the conditions of surfing and the level of each one. The instructor's role is to help you discover surfing and the pleasure of surfing, but also to lay the foundations for responsible behavior and culture in the water, given the growing popularity of surfing.

To progress in surfing, you need to practice a lot, but the interest of learning to surf in a surfing school labeled French Federation of Surfing is to have access to a follow-up of its progress which passes by an evaluation of its level. For children, at the end of a one week surfing, the surf instructor give them a surfing passport which attests to the different stages of the surfer progress (technique, marine sense...). For adults, the evaluation is done through sessions and individualized feedbacks. In addition, individual progress cards are established for the "faithful" students of the school and the surf camp.

The photos and video coaching are regularly used as teaching tools for progression and expert surfing lessons and training sessions, as well as during surf camps at the Natural Surf Lodge, whatever the level of surfing.
